- Does LiveTalk need my phone?
- Yes. It translates through the Timekettle app on a phone running Android 10 or later or iOS 14 or later. The app works without an account; you need one only to buy a plan.
- How much translation is included?
- Timekettle includes 200 free translation minutes a month for each device. They reset on the 1st and do not roll over, and a session in progress is never cut off when the minutes run out.
- Does it work without internet?
- Yes, for the 13 language pairs Timekettle's language table confirms: Chinese and English with each other, and each with Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish and Russian. Timekettle lists 25 pairs in all, so check any other pair in the app before you travel. Other languages need the internet through your phone.
- Can I use it with my laptop too?
- Yes. LiveTalk connects to your phone and your computer at the same time for call and media translation, without re-pairing.
